  • 6th Degree Black Belt (Rokudan) in Matsubayashi Karate-Do
  • 3rd Degree Black Belt (Sandan) in Okinawan Kobudo (Weaponry)
  • Shihan has also trained in Yang Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Goju-Ryu Karate, Shotokan Karate, Ju-Jitsu, Kendo, Iaido, and Shiatsu, Various Philipino Martial Arts, Traveled to Okinawa, Japan to meet and train with Grand Master Shoshin Nagamine, Fencing.
  • Started training in the martial arts in 1979, starting the study of Karate in 1983

  • Accomplishments: Two wonderful boys, who are my main source of pride. They, along with my wonderful husband Leigh are students at the Academy.
  • For almost 20 years, I have worked with children as a Nanny, organizer of a Child Care Co-op in my neighborhood, volunteer at a pre-school program at a neighborhood elementary school, YMCA day care, worked with children whose mothers who were recovering from Heroin Addiction.
  • I get satisfaction from watching the students at the dojo not only move up in rank but move from one level of class like Little Dragons on to the next level and watch that child thrive knowing I had a small part in that.
